“Congratulations to Marco on his commitment to Oswego State,” said Rich Ricci, St. Michael’s General Manager and Head Coach. “Marco came in this season confident in himself but looking for opportunity. Marco made the best of it posting a 50-point increase on his previous season totals finishing with 75 pts.”

“I saw a player wanting to break out. He was a big part of our second-half success once he understood how we wanted to play. He developed into a leader along the way and was really good in the room. I expect him to be a big contributor to Oswego. We wish him nothing but the best.”

Iozzo exits the league a grateful young man.

“Leaving the OJHL after a memorable season with the St. Michael’s Buzzers marks a significant chapter in my hockey career,” he said. “I am very proud of what our team accomplished this year.

“Transitioning to Oswego State is something I am extremely excited about and would like to give thanks to my family, friends, coaches, teammates, and Oswego for giving me the opportunity to be a part of their family and advance in my hockey career.”

“Rich and Vic (Criscuolo, Buzzers Assistant Coach/GM) taught me many invaluable lessons that have really helped me both on and off the ice and will be a big assist in transitioning to the collegiate level. I am very grateful to have been a part of the St. Michael’s Buzzers family. The lessons learned and bonds forged during my time with the St. Michael’s Buzzers have prepared me well for this next chapter in my life and will not be forgotten.”

Congratulations to Marco and best of luck in the  NCAA!
