ELMY EAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE MONTH

December 5, 2024, Mississauga, Ontario – The Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) announced today that David Elmy of Toronto’s St. Michael’s Buzzers has been named the East Conference Player-of-the-Month for November after he amassed a league-leading 24 points during 10 games. His 14 goals also led the 24-team league during November.

The well-spoken Mississaugan is following up on his break-out 2023-24 campaign with an awesome first half to this season – 49 points (27 goals/22 assists) in 32 games, second only to Leamington’s Colton Smith. His big month included a four-goal game against North York on Nov. 24 and a hat trick in Lindsay Nov. 15.

Elmy finished in ninth spot in OJHL points with 81 last season – a massive leap from 21 (11 goals/10 assists) in 2022-23, his rookie season.  Elmy, now 19, was voted the OJHL’S 2023-24 Most Improved Player in postseason voting last spring. He is committed to NCAA Division I Canisius University in Buffalo for next season.
